How to wrap an ankle

The following can be used to wrap the bandage around a hand, wrist, knee or elbow.

1. Sustain the bandage so that the roll pack is facing up.

2. Start by placing the loose end of the bandage over the top of the foot.

3. Hold the loose end over with one hand and with the other foot; wrap twice the bandage around the foot. Wrap the bandage from the outside of the foot toward the span inside. This is the side of the foot where you have the little finger towards the side where you have big toe.

4. Overlap the bandage so that between half and one third the bandwidth of the bandage is exposed.

When the foot has been wrapped exactly twice, you can proceed to move your hand on the heel.

5. Wrap the bandage in the direction of the ankle. The bandage should wrap in the form of a spiral Leave the heel bare an open.

6. Wrap cross-wise around the foot, moving upward and past behind the ankle.

7. Move the band down and cross it over the top of the foot.

8. Wrap the bandage under the foot. Repeat this pass-and-wrap once more.

9. Pass the bandage around the calf and start to wrap towards the direction of the knee. Do not over wrap when it reaches below the knee. There is no necessity to wrap down again.

Do not over tighten the bandage because it can stop the flow of blood. To improve the movement and flow of the blood, remove the bandage at least twice day and let sell it aside for a few minutes, and then wrap it again. Remove the bandage if there is numbness or tingling in the part of the body at instances and gently rub around the skin, then wrap the bandage when this area feels comfortable. Also, remove the bandage if you notice that the part of the body where you have the bandage is blue or cold.
